Mt. Joseph Lodge fronts on an entire city block! Our grounds are beautifully landscaped with meandering paths, boulders and hilly rises.
Joseph was the first settlement in a region occupied by the Nez Perce tribe. It was here that early settlers eked a living through bitter-cold winters, something even the Nez Perce thought was too harsh; they migrated to lower ground.
Just 1.7 miles south of the Lodge lays what many consider to be the Crown Jewel of Northeastern Oregon: Wallowa Lake.
Whether by foot, bicycle or car, there is tons to discover in this wild corner of Oregon. The Eagle Cap Wilderness is Oregon's Largest wilderness area, with 534 miles of developed trails. The Hells Canyon Recreational Area at 652,488 acres is almost wilderness, only one you can drive through.
